The BRIEF

Arcade Belts wanted to release a video that would show off the unrivalled versatility of their products to new customers, while entertaining and re-engaging their current audience. Until now video content had not been utilised in their marketing, so we set out to make this their marketing punch.

 

The plan

Rather than creating a single brand video, we developed an entire campaign around a character who would introduce the product features in entertaining situations.

Working with world-famous British Sports Presenter Ed Leigh, we created a series of teasers that would lead up to a brand film. In each teaser we introduced a key feature of the Arcade Belt; machine washable, micro-adjustable and super stretchy, smart/casual designs and durability, all presented in the most entertaining situations we could create in Verbier. 

The full brand video unveiled Ed Leigh showing off the versatility of Arcade Belts in an explosive journey around the Verbier mountain resort. 

We also created a competition to go alongside the videos. Viewers were given the chance to win belts by guessing how many times Ed changed his belt, how many times he got the names of the sports/adventures wrong and many more. 

The results

Arcade's audience praised the campaign, welcoming each new ‘ed-isode’ every week and eagerly awaiting the full story. When the final video aired, it quickly became Arcade Belts’ most engaging social post racking up 5000 Facebook views, 50 shares and 100 reactions on the first day.
